Owners: Ellen and Bill Stelpflug
Future owners: Their children, Maura and Kyle
Slogan: "From the heart of God's County in Grant county, we bring you the Farm"
Products: Meat, meat, meat... and more meat; farm fresh brown or white eggs. All of the pork and beef products are guaranteed to have had "no growth hormones, no animal by-products," Ellen proclaims. "We guarantee it because we grew it." The cattle are fed corn and hay the Stelpflugs have grown on their 214-acre farm, and the meat does indeed have a sweeter, more juicy taste.
Ellen also delivers to customer's homes. She provides to restaurants and, in McFarland, to the Parsonage Bed and Breakfast. She calls customers in the area to see if they need anything when she knows she has a delivery here.
All products are frozen and vacuum packed for freshness.

How it all got started: "Virgil Morrow of Lancaster set me up with my husband," Ellen said. A Chicago native herself, her dad bought a farm up in Bloomington, Wis. Morrow managed the farm.
When Ellen came up to visit, she met farm-hand Bill Stelpflug. Over time, the two got to know one another. "We got married on contract," Ellen jokes, saying they each brought two certified Black Angus cows to the relationship. That was in 1993. Now, 11 years later, they have 100 head of cattle.
Philosophy: "I bring good product to consumers at a reasonable price."
The future: "I hope to stay in it, hope to give it to the kids, so they'll always have a home base."
